Happy 7th Birthday!

I'm a little late on this post, but we'll just blame it on the sheer busyness of life with a SEVEN year old!

Oh Kenna girl, how is it that you are SEVEN?  Every time I ask you that you go on and make me sad by saying you're gonna be EIGHT and then NINE and then TEN and you keep on going..... I really do just wish time would slow down.  You are your brother are SUCH fun ages and I just love you guys to pieces.

So, what did this past year bring?

I'm afraid it's been WAY too long since I've blogged about you!  So much has changed.  And you have been one BUSY girl......

You made it to your FIRST Badger game with Daddy.  You guys had a BLAST!

You made your ballet debut

You loved on your brother all day every day.  You guys really are so sweet together.  You ADORE him and are such a good big sister!

You went to LOTS of Brewer games with Daddy

And a few dates with him too:)

You worked so hard on your dance moves during our bedtime dance parties and are turning into quite the little dancer.

You caused the tooth fairy to go broke

Had a blast trick or treating with Oma while Mommy and Daddy were at a wedding

Went to your SECOND Badger game - this one a road trip to Northwestern with the neighbor clan - we had SOOOO much fun!

And your reading skills allowed you to dig deeper into your bible and your favorite thing to do is to stay up late and read it.

Mama made lots of trips to school for lunch..... and was a little surprised to find your table was SILENT this day

You had LOTS of play dates

You worked SO hard on your homework this year and rocked the first grade

You slept with that puke bucket just about every night..... but never did puke.

You LOVE helping me bake

You had MORE play dates

And slept with the puke bucket...again

You rocked your ballet recital at the nursing home at Christmas.  You are definitely a performer and LOVE to take the stage!

The hightlight of the year - your got your EARS PIERCED!!!  I took you in a snowstorm on December 23rd - I promised you I'd take you for weeks and when the day came, you weren't going to let a snow storm delay you one more day.  Thankfully, the mall was dead and we had the place to ourselves.  You were really brave and have been so so so good at taking care of them all by yourself.

Had a blast ringing in the New Year with some of our faves

Turns out you share mama's love for party planning.  You spent lots of time getting the "activities" ready for the New Year's party and you were SOO excited to show all the guests as they arrived

You played in your FIRST basketball season!  And scored at least one bucket in each game!

You amazed us with your fantastic writing - always the highlight of the month to get these home in your folder!

Mama was so lucky to be able to coach you, too!  We only won one game all year but we had so much fun and it was great bonding time.

Your arm fully recovered and you build your strength (and bravery) back up for the monkey bars

It was a great year for the Ice Shoves and you LOVED them - you could have played on them all day

We took Alex to his first Buck's game

And you read and read and read and read
