8 is GREAT!

Oh my snugga, bugga, snuggs, bubbs..... how is it you are EIGHT?!  So great, right?!

Gosh where do I even start with what you're up to?!  You are a pretty amazing little guy.  Or should I call you 99?  Ha ha!  You are smart.  You are funny.  You are compassionate.  You are loyal.  You are sensitive.  You are shy.  You are outgoing.  You are my little snugga bugga.

Alex this past year has gone by soooo fast and yet soooo slow all at the same time.  I've so enjoyed watching you grow up a little more this past year.  Your love for all things baseball, college football, basketball, history, statistics and more baseball has grown so much this past year.  You are crazy interested in any stats you can get your hands on and you are quick to share all the incredible ones with us.

You LOVE a little boy time with daddy - here you are going to a Badger football game.  You were torn while you were there - you LOVED the atmosphere, but really wanted to turn the channel when the game got boring in the third quarter.  Ha!

Yessss.

You've discovered sports bars this year and there is no turning back.  So.  Many.  Tv's.  So.  Much.  Sports.  Heaven on earth for sure!

First day of SECOND grade!

Look at those freckles.

You just being you on a random Friday off..

Remember that time you were SUPER scared to ride on the waterslide and then you got brave did it and loved it?  Keep being brave buddy!

Pitching at the Field of Dreams - PERFECT vacation for you this year!

Lovin' lake life

Pledge of allegiance before the Janssen family olympics.... gosh I love you.

You and your boys after an AMAZING night of ball at Helfaer

You and your favorite Bridgets

This is what I see of you 75% of the day - sharing your latest thoughts on sports, be it your team, college football, you name it.  So.  Much.  Analysis.  Love it!

More of this in the next year please!

Look at that passion

You and your Lukey;)

Your favorite seat in the house to read.

I LOVE that you share my passion for all things calepittar (and yes you still say it that way) and butterfly.

Bringing home the hardware

Remember that day your OJ smiled at you before your tournament?  Ha ha

Lovin' on mommy at the coffee shop.

Livin' large in our bed..... we've seen a little more of this lately as your "scardiness" stage is back.... You're afraid to be alone, afraid of the dark, afraid of scary commercials.  Hopefully this passes soon, until then, I'll enjoy the extra snuggles.

You and coach daddy.  Gosh he's so proud of you, kiddo.

Kenna, the world's greatest tooth puller, even with a cast on!

You have this amazing sweet side to you....when Kenna broke her arm, you told me you wanted to get her a card and some flowers BUT you insisted on surprising her so we tricked her and snuck out to get some.  I love your joyfulness buddy!

That thing you do that makes us laugh every time...

Can't forget student council Thursday's where me and you would sneak over to Casey's to get doughnuts!

Basketball looked a bit different this year, but you had a blast and really improved a ton.  Loving your heavy metal picture this year, too.

Best seat in the house.

There it is.... the cracker jack.

Remember when we used to play football every morning after we got Makenna on the bus when you were in quarantine?  So fun!

Yep, a day in the life..

Quarantine halloween

Loving your quarantine.  School and blankie snuggles.

Livin large.

There it is again..

You have an AMAZING arm at darts..... definitely give us all a run for our money.
