The "best" is HERE!!

After 4+ years of waiting, our dream of becoming parents is finally a reality! We wanted to be able to share this journey with our friends and family via this blog. We were blessed with the birth of our embryo adopted daughter Makenna Lee on June 2, 2010. We were doubly blessed on October 14, 2013 when Alexander Brooks was born. Alexander and Makenna are genetic siblings and we are so very thankful to their Texas Fan Club for sharing the gift of life with us!

2 years ago we got the best Christmas present EVER when we went in for our ultrasound on December 23rd and found out you were a healthy baby girl!! I wanted to repost this entry because I LOVE Oma's reaction on this video! She was and is SO excited about you little girl. Yesterday I came home from work to find you and Oma having so much fun singing and dancing and running around. You have so much fun on your Oma & Papa days!

Playing kitchen with Oma

Oma's dad (Makenna's great grandpa) built this for Oma when she was little. Oma and mommy both played with it when they were little girls and now I get to too! Makenna LOVES it! I love that it has so many memories attached to it. Mommy never got to meet the man but is so thankful his hard work is still being loved on.
