I must say that this month has seemed to last the longest for some reason. All the rest seem to fly by, but it seems forever ago that she turned 14 months. That might be because we've had such a busy fun-packed month.
First things first.... look who is sitting so nicely by Mr. Monkey once again!

She's back to loving her books once again, too - especiallly any that light up, make noise or have Sesame Street in them
She learned "nose" this week, too - here she is showing me where Mr. Monkey's nose is.
And her new favorite pasttime - sitting in her chair with Elmo watching Sesame Street. I have always loved it when she crosses her chubby little ankles - isn't this adorable?
Here she is chillin' with daddy tonight. She was SO hot playing outside that I stripped her down to her bloomers. I thought she was thinning out, but she still looks pretty chubby in this one. A little boy at WalMart yesterday told us he thought she was chubby, too. Ha! I weighed her today and she's up to 28lbs 8 oz.
So, what else is Kenna girl up to?
-As of August 6th, she is a walker
-Brad and I say that she really mastered walking the day he had batting practice at Miller Park. She was walking ALL over the ball park and that was the first day she really stopped crawling and switched to all walking.
-She learned to stand from a sit (vs. pulling up on something to stand) last weekend and hasn't crawled at all since. She's getting pretty fast and is falling on her butt less and less.
-She continues to get LOTS of attention every where we go. She has squeaky shoes that we borrowed from Rachel and everyone always thinks they are the coolest thing. She loves all the attention!
-She's very good at getting into EVERYTHING! She's fast, too, so I really have to be on my toes and make sure all the doors are closed and listen to where she is and what she's up to.
-She is in love with all things Sesame Street. She can be screaming bloody murder and one mention of Elmo or Sesame Street and she instantly stop, smile and expect us to flip on the TV and show her Elmo.
-She is very into her books, her shape sorter and playing outside these days. She really likes her bike trailer and loves to play with her cozy coupe.
-She's learning more and more words, but is starting to get very frustrated when she wants something and we can't figure out what it is. Her current favorite word is "uh-oh".
-Her new words this month are nose and elmo (sounds more like "mo")
-She is getting a little more attitude lately - she knows what she wants and when she doesn't get it she gets MAD! Most days she is very happy, but she has her moments:)
-She LOVES watching videos on the computer. She will try to sneak into the computer room if I leave the door open and scream for me to watch the computer with her.
-She continues to be a pretty good eater, though she often find she would rather be playing than eating. Her favorites are tomatoes, mac n' cheese, pizza and watermelon.
-I'm still nursing twice a day- morning and night. I think the morning one is going to be harder to break her of as she still screams when she sees me in the morning, wanting to nurse ASAP.
-She has such a fun little personality and I'm amazed at how much she learns and retains.
When we named Makenna, we loved that her name meant "the gift of happiness". I just recently also heard it means "beautiful & fiesty". How fitting!
We are having soooo much fun with her. We love you Makenna Lee!!
