9 months!
My baby girl is 3/4 of a year already! I can hardly believe it. I keep saying I don't want her to get any bigger, but I must admit each new stage is more fun than the last and she is just so stinkin' cute! Here are our monthly photos:

I have to give Rachel credit for these - although hers turned out MUCH better, I loved the idea of taking pictures of her in front of the mirror.

9 month update.....
At yesterday's doctor's appt, Makenna was 24lbs 1oz and 29.25 inches long. She measures in the 95th percentile for height and is off the charts for head and weight:)
Her physical therapy for her torticollis is going very well. We have noticed a HUGE improvement since she started and she's down to just every other week.
She loves to stand, supported - if I put my hands out in front of her, she can't wait to grab them and try to pull herself up
We have officially taken her off her reflux meds (yay!!!!!) I thought this day would never come, but she has gotten MUCH better in the past few weeks. I just did 2 loads of laundry and there was only 1 bib and 2 burp cloths in it. Historically there would have been 10 of each.
She is adjusting well to life with 2 CPAs for parents in the midst of tax season. Poor daddy has been working some crazy hours but has been so great about making sure he gets time with her every day -either before work, sneaking out during the day to make it to her doctor's or PT appointments or working until midnight one night so he can get out at 6pm to see her the next night. This past weekend we brought her to the office with us after church so we could both get some work done and the good girl took a 2 1/2 hour nap while she was there, letting us get plenty caught up.
She's quite the little problem solver - she wants to know how all her toys work and will study them and flip them over to try to find the switches or battery compartments. Hiding the remote control is getting tougher and tougher as she'll keep reaching for it until she finds it.
She's starting to scoot around a bit - today Oma put her on one side of the room and she managed to make it (still sitting) all the way across the room while playing with her toys. It only took her an hour to do it:)
She's up to rocking on all fours, but still not quite crawling. She'd rather grab onto your hands and walk anyway.
We've been working hard on those first words and getting her to wave bye bye, but she's not quite there yet.
Still just 2 bottom teeth, but I think the top 2 will be coming soon.
She's started getting up in the middle of the night every other night. She was up from about 4am to 6am last night which means tonight should be a good night's sleep. We'll see!
She is quite the chatterbox these days - always babbling on and on. She has started a playful scream, too - but we're trying to curb that before it gets too loud and obnoxious.
She continues to be a social little butterfly - I love taking her out and about because she gets so many comments on those chubby cheeks and those beautiful eyes. People will tell her how cute she is and her face lights up with a smile back at them every time. She truly is a "gift of happiness" - we love you Miss Makenna!!

Happy Birthday to.....me!! 8 months old today!
Makenna had a good good birthday as it was a SNOW DAY around here! We spent lots of fun family time together and mommy had a little too much fun with the camera once again.....

Her faces crack me up. Its near impossible to get a picure of her with her hands calm as she's flailing them around all the time now.

And finally....story time with mama. I LOVE stories!!
So, what am I up to this month??
-My PT is going pretty well and I'm down to just every other week now. I started rolling over more often and pushing up on my front arms, which is really strengthening my neck.
-I still don't love tummy time, but I am getting stronger and if you give me something to distract me, I don't even notice I'm on my belly.
-I did start rolling over when I wake up, which makes me very angry as I end up on my tummy and scream until Mommy comes to get me. She finds me doing a mini pushup in my crib wondering how I got that way.
-I am down to more of a schedule, eating 4 times a day (2 of those are solid foods) and getting 2 or 3 naps
-I got my first tooth (bottom left) and by the way I'm acting tonight, mommy thinks a second one is about to break through
-I LOVE reading books! I turn the pages and like to feel every page.
-I really like standing up. I can be super crabby and mommy will stand me up and I'm all smiles. I've started standing against my exersaucer without any support from mommy
-I generally like anything that makes me a big girl. Mommy sat me up in my crib the other day and I thought it was the coolest thing to look out the rungs and see her. I'm pretty sure that's why she likes standing so much.
-I've started kindof pushing up on all fours, but not for very long.
-I have quite the little personality. I know how to turn on the charm when I need to and am such a super happy little girl. I am very intersted in everything around me and like to pound pound pound on my toys.
-Best news - my spitup is FINALLY starting to subside!!! I only dirtied ONE bib today!! That's a small miracle in our house!

What a good day!!
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa B for babysitting me this morning so mommy could go to Starbucks and read!!
I promised Makenna that after her nap we could go swimming with daddy - here she is after a good long nap all happy and ready to go!
She and daddy had SO much fun at the pool!
Wowee, swimming makes me sleepy! Time for some daddy cuddles...
