We had a really nice long weekend! Friday Daddy took the day off and we headed to Ikea for some things we needed for the house. We found a bookshelf that works great in brother's room & Makenna did such a nice job helping Daddy put it together...

Saturday was game day!! Daddy changed out all the Brewer flags to Badger flags already and it was funny to hear Makenna look out the front window and ask why the flag was red?!? Daddy went to the game with Uncle Derek which meant I got to spend the day with this little cutie!
I will admit, I am HORRIBLE at letting her do arts & crafts - part of it is the mess it makes and part of it is we just have so many other things to do that I don't always think of it. But I was working on some decorations for the little guy's room and she was all over my mod podge so I let her have a little fun.

Then Saturday night we were off to "little McKenna's" birthday party. Aren't these 2 the cutest?
They had a blow up water slide at the party and look at who was so very brave!!! I was really impressed with her! She was the only kid going down it for most of the night & she couldn't get enough. She is usually so afraid of water in her face, but she wasn't scared at all and there was water spraying her everywhere, not to mention this thing was hooked up to a hose so the water was FREEZING!

Sunday I didn't get any pictures, but we had a great morning at church! We recently switched churches and it makes me so happy to know that Makenna loves it there. On the way there she started telling me how much she likes our new church and that she doesn't want to go back to the old one. It's nice to have confirmation that switching to the new one was the right move for our family. My friend Cheryl (Lexi's mama) invited us to check it out with their family some time and I'm so glad we did! Not only that, but we've made some more good friends in the short time we've been there & that has been really great!
On that note, I have a prayer request for Cheryl and their family. Cheryl recently delivered a sweet baby boy whom they discovered shortly after delivery has down's syndrome. This was a complete shock to them and while little Quincy has been fortunate enough to avoid any heart issues or other severe complications at birth, he does other issues that are common with Down's and that are keeping him in the NICU for a bit. Please pray for their family, that God would somehow be glorified in the life of this little guy. We randomly ran into Lexi and her Daddy today and it was such a great surprise to see them, but a good reminder that I need to continue to lift them up with prayer as they adjust to a new "normal."
Sunday afternoon we had a fun time back at the splash pad with Elizabeth & Annikana and Sunday night, some new friends from church invited us over for dinner - we had a great time & Makenna had so much fun playing with their kiddos.
Monday, we headed to the "Brewgame!"
