The "best" is HERE!!

Alex, I can't believe that you have officially been out of my belly longer than you were in it. You are 10 months old already!

This month we've had SOOO much fun with you. You are turning out to be such a sweet, smiley, happy, excitable, expressive, sassy little boy. You honestly make everyone around you smile and I've heard from more people than I can count that you are the cutest baby they have ever seen. We are of course, quite biased, but we would have to agree! Somehow I feel like it isn't so prideful to say that since you didn't get any of your genetics from us:) You are some pretty cute kiddos.

So, what's new this month?

-You are a very excitable little boy -when you get excited, your little hands and feet both extend and twirl in circles and your face lights up and you go "oooooh, oooooh, ohhhh" over and over

This is the look you get on your face over exciting things such as:

bubbles, trucks driving by, lights, fans, seeing sissy, a good game of peek, seeing mommy, seeing daddy, a lawnmower, a dog walking by, the list goes on!

-You are FINALLY sleeping through the night - woot woot!! I think I was only up with you 5 or 6 nights all month and a few of those were when you were sick with croup so those don't even technically count.

-You are a little peanut- I don't think I ever posted your 9 month stats, but you were 15% for height, about 50% for weight and off the charts with that big old head. You wear mostly 9 month or 12 month clothes, though there are a handful of 3-6 month outfits that still fit you.

This outfit is size 3-6 month shorts, a 6-9 month shirt and an 18-24 month hat.

-You are still spitting up..... alot. I think it slowed down for 3 days and I was hoping you were done, but you are not. Not even close. Thankfully you are a happy spitter.

-Your favorite toy is definitely anything with wheels.

-You are starting to pull up on things.... your favorites being

and any of sissy's toys.

-You love to clap, though it is sort of a crooked, one hand into the other and then hold them together and swing them sort of movement

and you are starting to learn "so big!"

-You LOVE our nightly walks around the neighborhood in your car

-You are turning into quite the little piggy.... I can't feed you fast enough at meal time and you will let me know when you are hungry!

Makenna: Bubbers, your big sister adores you!

And that is exactly what she calls you all the time.... bubbers!

Noone can make your face light up just by talking quite like your sissy can!

She always wants to be the first one to come say hi to you in the morning.

You love spending time with her though we are finding when she starts talking...and talking..and talking...you have started yelling - like you are trying to get a word or two in.

She loves taking tubs with you

and torturing you in the bathtub

She loves teaching you all her silly faces, too!

I pray that you and your sissy will always be the best of friends!

Mommy:

Alex, this month you SPOIILED your mama!

You woke up super happy every morning..... well, super hungry too! But once I fed you, you were super happy!

You finally started snuggling me a little more.

We got to spend a few lazy mornings together, me you and sissy while Daddy went to work

You made me smile with your silly faces

You allowed me to transfer you to your bed from the carseat after falling asleep without more than a little peep of your eyes open and then a quick snuggle on my shoulder time after time....

You gave me plenty of exercise as I chased you...

over....

And you finally started letting me sit in the chair at night and snuggle you before putting you to bed at night. You used to wiggle in my arms, just waiting for me to put you in your crib, but now you pass out while I feed you and then I lay you on my chest and you melt right into me. It is the best feeling in the world, buddy.

You have definitely turned into a bit of a mama's boy this month...... and I don't mind one bit! In fact, today you and I are headed to South Carolina to visit Auntie Rachel and I am looking very forward to spoiling you rotten!

Daddy:

Your daddy is crazy about you, bubbers. He wants to hold you right away when he gets home from work and I love to see the way your face lights up when you see him.

You and daddy spent some good boys time together the other night while me and your sissy went on a date.

Every Friday when your sissy has camp, there is a big parent celebration in the gym. Daddy is always so excited to see me and you walk in and is always so quick to steal you from me so he can snuggle you during the show.
