We are LOVING this time together as a family. I really think these are the best days of our lives and we are trying to soak up every minute.
This past Saturday was one of those moments you just wanted to freeze time. Daddy found Home Alone on TV and wanted to introduce Makenna to it.... We all crawled into our bed and started watching it the end of it - Makenna was laughing soooo hard. Then Alex woke up and climbed in bed with us and he was laughing at the fact that she was laughing so hard. What a great memory. It's the little things....
Like the way Alex's face lights up when he makes eye contact with Daddy or
the funny things Makenna says or
The way Alex goes nuts when he sees a dog or
The way Alex's face lights up when he sees the Christmas tree or
catching these 2 reading the bible in front of a roaring fire or
having 2 little helpers to help me bake Christmas cookies this year or
morning silliness before heading out to the bus stop or
catching Daddy sneak a kiss or
Staring at the mantle, so thankful that there are 4 stockings on it when for so many years there were only 2 to hang or
watching this girl take selfies of herself or
Catching her trying to share the cereal that was spilled all over the floor or
Seeing her put her hand so sweetly on his shoulder or
Taking a minute out of the hustle and bustle at the mall to just look around and see how many people's faces you can bring a smile to as they watch this little boy toddle around or
Snuggling with Daddy or
That moment you all bow your heads to pray and dinner time and you look over to see this little guy folding his hands in prayer or
Just watching these kids smile
Enjoying the little things
Because in the end, they are really BIG things.
