Fun day in the city with my buddy

This morning we had SO much fun hanging out with our friends Avery & Maddox & mommy's friend Corie!!

 

First stop, Alterra for some hot chocolate...

 

 

They had a lot of fun just being silly and playing while Mommy and Corie had a chance to catch up.... It was fun to reflect back on the last 10 years and how much things have changed..... Ben and Corie had just started dating at our wedding (Ben is one of Brad's best friends and stood up in our wedding). I love that after 10 years of our own unique struggles, we find that we are sharing in the same blessings and at the same point in our lives with our kiddos. I almost teared up to see the 2 of them walking hand in hand at Alterra, best of buds - such blessings!

Time to hit the Public Market

This one is my favorite - they seem like such big girls walking through the Third Ward hand in hand on a Friday morning.....

 

I think their favorite part of the day was riding the elevator - here we are with our hands on our heads so our little fingers don't get pinched in the elevator door!

PS - Corie, thank you for the tip on the treasure chest - we got home and the first thing she wanted to do was go potty!!  She went on it 3 more times today and got to pick a treasure out of the treasure chest every time - let's hope we are on to something here!!!!
